Life in Jeju With Kids — Why We Left Everything Behind
We’re a family of four in our 40s, and we did something a lot of people called reckless: we left two steady careers behind and moved to Jeju Island to build a completely different life in Jeju with kids.
What we had was two kids whose future we couldn’t stop thinking about, and a growing sense that our old life — commute, meetings, bonus cycles — wasn’t the one we wanted to hand down to them.
It wasn't a leap we took lightly.
We spent months weighing it, running numbers, asking every uncomfortable question we could think of before we packed up our apartment and moved to Seogwipo, on the southern coast of Jeju.
